Dr. Michael F. Duffy is a board-certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon with more than 16 years of experience caring for patients with spinal disorders. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Georgetown University and his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Duffy completed his Orthopaedic surgery residency at Orlando Regional Health in Orlando, Florida, followed by a spine surgery fellowship at Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas. He has been practicing in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex since 2009.

Throughout his career, Dr. Duffy has maintained a strong interest in advances in all areas of spine surgery, particularly motion preserving surgeries. His academic work includes publications addressing lumbar disc replacement, spinal sports injuries, and other orthopedic and spinal conditions.

Dr. Duffy has also been actively involved in the education of future spine surgeons, participating in spine surgery fellowship training at Texas Back Institute prior to taking on a leadership role with Texas Spine Consultants.

His professional recognition includes being named a D Magazine Best Doctor, Fort Worth Top Doc, and Texas Monthly Super Doctor, among other honors.

Dr. Duffy has been an active member in both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Duffy is an avid scratch golfer with a lifelong interest in athletics and fitness. He played Division I golf at Georgetown University and enjoys spending time with his family, fitness and wellness, golf, and travel.
