Dr. Hennessy completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX, where he graduated valedictorian. He then completed medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington D.C., graduating with honors. He returned home to Texas to complete his internship and residency in Orthopaedics, University of Texas Southwestern, Dallas, TX. He continued his training with a fellowship under, renowned spinal surgeon and scoliosis specialist, Dr. Behrooz Akbarnia of the San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders.
Dr. Hennessy is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the North American Spine Society, and the Texas Medical Association.
